6+ Awesome Kids Toy Storage Ideas!

Every year, with every birthday and Christmas and everything in between, my kids just get more and more gifts and so I’ve really had to come up with the best solutions for how to store it all. There’s so many cute ways to go about it, and I have included my all-time favourite way of doing it too!

Was it just me, or did you also hear “Toy Story” in that sentence? Anyway, I digress! Here in this post, I’ve included 6+ awesome ways of storing toys. After my second baby, and then my third, I quickly realised that even if I stay on top of the toys (and by that I mean hiding a lot of them in the office in a random miscellaneous box), my life as a parent is going to involve a lot of toy storage. Because with every birthday, every Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and all the things, comes “stuff”, and most of the time - toys.

Once that hit me, I was on a mission. I couldn’t just throw everything into our Insta-worthy Ikea toy storage boxes anymore. I had to think about the different types of toys, and how best to store them. I really felt like I’d hit a new level of mumming when I bought our first toy cupboard. The big ticket items like Barbie cars and Little People aeroplanes and castles could fit in there, plus boxes and bags of Duplo and puzzle pieces. Now I had a system, and it felt great!

So have a scroll through and see what you vibe with the most. I personally have a mix depending on the spot in our home it lives in. Everyone has a different taste and it comes down to different factors like your home, other furniture you have, what sort of storage you already have, etc. You might even want to do a mix, depending on what toys could go where.
