With Christmas fast approaching, things have been turning right up in our household! The girls have been having so much fun at daycare making Christmas crafts, there’s lots of chatter about Santa and there’s just a general excitement in the air! And - it’s actually the first time we’ve been getting into the Christmas crafts at home. My toddler is now 4 1/2, so she’s not really a “toddler” anymore - she’s becoming more of a kid, and absolutely loves drawing, colouring, gluing and painting! With just having had our third baby as well, I’ve been turning to the crafts a lot more to keep my older ones occupied instead of relying so heavily on the tv.
I absolutely love scrolling through Pinterest and blog posts for easy craft ideas to do with my girls! So I thought I would share the things we have been making, too! My style I tend to go for is pretty much, anything easy 😅 for me, I love using paper plates because they easily create shapes of animals or different people like Santa or items like snow globes. Half the work is done for me just in the shape of the circle paper plate! That’s right up my alley for sure haha.
In this post, I’ll share our easy Christmas paper plate activities to do with your toddler in the lead up to Christmas! We’ve been hanging these from my 4 year old’s bed frame as decorations for her to look at as she falls asleep. You could literally hang these anywhere you like - on the front door, on their bedroom door, the Christmas tree, as decorations around the house, or even to gift to grandparents or use as Christmas cards.
